'Many Soldiers are coming home traumatized from war, but
they are not the only ones. The Soldier's
four legged partners are now showing some signs of PTSD upon their return home as
well. The Soldiers and dogs go on missions, which often include raiding a
house. The dogs are usually the first ones to enter
the house due to their remarkable ability to sniff out any bombs that maybe
inside. However, just like the soldier, what
the dog sees, hears, and endures in war is life changing and not always left at
the battle site, but instead it follows them home. When the military dogs return
home and if they exhibit signs of PTSD or signs of trauma, trainers step in and
work with them. However, just like the
soldier they may never fully recover from the trauma. '
